Should Dell Pre-Load Linux?

On a page with the words “Dell recommends Windows Vista Business” emblazened at the top, Dell is running a survey on factory installed Linux for desktops and laptops. Let them know what you think.

I think for tech people most of the time they reinstall as soon as they get a new laptop/desktop/server. The stuff you get included with factory installs just messes up the computer and if it is a server I do not know one IT person that would trust an factory install.

The only exception to this is my apple notebook. I took it out of the box and was ready to go after coping files over. I think that is because there are not many options on how to install OSX. You install or you dont.
