Utah Open Source Conference

The Utah Open Source Conference will be held on September 6, 2007 through September 8, 2007 at the West Valley Cultural Celebration Center Open Source Technology Center (Novell).

The conference is looking for proposals for 90 minute classes on open source topics including:

  • Business solutions (process, applications, infrastructure)
  • IT management and implementation
  • Web development
  • Language skills (Perl, Python, PHP, Ruby)
  • Emerging technologies

I’m thinking about putting in a proposal for a session on OpenID and user-centric identity issues. Lots of open source tie-ins there.

Unrelated: The microformat with the date giving NetNewsWire a popup to add the event to iCal was just about the coolest thing ever.

I think the location is changing to the Open Source Technology Center at Novell. We're currently in talks with them and its looking really promising. I just thought you'd like to know.

Cheers,

Clint

Sounds interesting.

Has the submission deadline been extended? The link you provided says: "All submissions are due by May 15, 2007."
