OS Backup Survey Results

Yesterday, I asked what people are using to backup OS X. All the advice I got said “Retrospect.” This MacWorld article from July 2002 reviews them. There are some things that give me pause after reading it, but I guess I’ll drop the money and see how it works. Here are a few other things I found:

  • Mac OS X Management Software and Tips by Mike Bombich gives some advice on creating a bootable device in OS X and using ditto to create a mirror image.
  • There is a project on Sourceforge called Psynx that I have no information on. I’m hesitant to try a back up program without other information.
