I ran across this a few hours ago and was astounded at how idiotic some politicians can be... To think that some people want to micromanage human life in this fashion seems completely antithetical to the liberties and freedoms that are allegedly protected for each law-abiding citizen. Ugh. Aren't there bigger problems that merit our lawmakers' attention?

And don't stop at walkmans. I think they should go ahead and ban talking to another person in public. The only thing people should be doing is looking out for traffic. Wait, just ban traffic in big cities! Oh, London already did that.
